Private Sessions

Private sessions at our facility are a great way to target specific skill sets or behavioral issues. These last for approximately an hour and are one on one with a trainer. This form of training is beneficial through working directly with a trainer to come up with a targeted training and management plan to reach your goals and have homework to implement outside of the session as well. Currently we have limited availability with openings during the daytime on Thursdays each week.

Complete Obedience Day Training Package

Our most popular Day Training package consists of 6 weeks of training every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. This program is most suitable for dogs 16 weeks and older. This base package includes sit, sit-stay, down, down-stay, come, loose leash walking, and “place” – performed on and off leash. Greeting skills and door manners are also addressed. This package includes the day training, training equipment and in-home follow up if needed to ensure results. This package achieves the same results as our comprehensive Complete Obedience In-Board Program at a lower cost and with less time spent away from them.

Highlights of the program – 6 weeks of training Monday, Wednesday, and Friday each week. Motivational Foundation followed by gradual increase of distance, distraction and duration. “Out and About Adventures” towards the end of the program where we take your pup into various social settings to make sure things are functional. Unlimited follow-up to ensure you are working together as a team On leash reliability of all commands, with off-Leash recalls and stays. Daily report cards and instructions each time you pick your dog up from training. Check out our social media to see what our current dogs are up to.

Why 6 weeks? We believe that a solid, motivational foundation of skill sets is the fairest and clearest way to train a dog. We begin with spending time on specific word association and utilizing high-value rewards to reinforce the behaviors we want to see. Then we move on to introducing choices and accountability by gradually increasing distance, distraction and duration. Near the end, we take trips Out and About in the Community, ensuring that the training is functional where you need it most. This combination of a motivational teaching foundation, followed by gradually adding variables, allows us to build a confident dog who is happy to work with you.

Perfect Puppy Foundations Programs

$1425/4weeks or $750/2weeks

A productive option to get your puppy off to a great start and set them up for success! Appropriate for younger puppies that have received their first puppy vaccines all the way through puppies that are 5 months old at the start of the program. The overall goals of this program are to create positive exposure, build confidence, and help encourage the drive to learn! Extra skill sets or add ons can be discussed on a case by case basis. Our Day Training Puppy Programs take place at the ThunderHawk Canine Academy on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

4 week program – This more comprehensive puppy foundation program includes the continuation or introduction or crate and potty training, motivational introductory obedience(sit, down, watch me, leave it, out, place, heel), introducing a marker system to aid training, introduction to productive play, as well as working on motivational exchanges.

2 week program – In this program we will work on the continuation or introduction of crate and potty training, motivational introductory obedience(lured sit, down, watch me, leave it), introducing a marker system to aid training, and an introduction to productive play.

Short Term or Individual Day Training Programs

$125 per Day

Unable to commit to the length of our full length programs or 3 days a week but still needing some help with training? A Short Term Day Training Program might be a great fit for you. These can be individual days or a smaller number of weeks focused on targeting specific skill sets. Day training takes place Monday, Wednesday, and Friday each week at the ThunderHawk Canine Academy.
